Kissing? Naw, that`s the wrong end. This pair of Monarch Butterfly (Danaus plexippus) caterpillars were stripping the same leaf of Milkweed in our garden early this morning - at the bottom of the leaf. It`s interesting how the hind colors look opposite. I was up early for a day of http://members.impulse.net/~dunn/ planning and cleanup. The first real day of school is Tuesday, and we have a three-day camping trip to Big Sur on Wednesday. Not bad! I`ll get back here next weekend. (San Marcos Pass, 1 September 2003)
